Single-Photon Emission by the Plasmon-Induced Transparency Effect in Coupled Plasmonic Resonators

چکیده
The plasmon-induced transparency (PIT) effect with unique spectrum transmission characteristics is a significant property of plasmonic structures. A resonant nanocavity nanoscale dimensions around single-photon emitter dramatically enhances the emission rate emitter. Thus, we propose detuned nanocavities to manipulate inside, which either cell consists rectangular resonator surrounded by U-like resonator. An InGaAs quantum dot in GaAs nanowire placed center was employed as finite-difference time domain simulation revealed that distribution electromagnetic field can be affected changing coupling intensity between bright and dark states PIT. Consequently, enhanced more than 2000 times due Purcell induced PIT cavity. With achievement an ultrafast rate, proposed could have diverse applications information communications.

On-chip plasmon-induced transparency based on plasmonic coupled nanocavities
On-chip plasmon-induced transparency offers the possibility of realization of ultrahigh-speed information processing chips. Unfortunately, little experimental progress has been made to date because it is difficult to obtain on-chip plasmon-induced transparency using only a single meta-molecule in plasmonic circuits. Here, we report a simple and efficient strategy to realize on-chip plasmon-indu...

We demonstrate the realization of on-chip plasmonic analogue of electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) in integrated plasmonic devices using detuned Fabry-Perot resonators aperture-side-coupled to a metal-insulator-metal (MIM) waveguide, with the transmission peak occurring at the intermediate wavelength. Strong MIM mode confinement along with localized side-coupling allows one to reali...

We propose a novel source of non-classical light consisting of plasmonic aperture with single-crystal diamond containing a single Nitrogen-Vacancy (NV) color center. Theoretical calculations of optimal structures show that these devices can simultaneously enhance optical pumping by a factor of 7, spontaneous emission rates by Fp~50 (Purcell factor), and offer collection efficiencies up to 40%. ...

We introduce an approach enabling construction of a scalable metamaterial media supporting multispectral plasmon induced transparency. The composite multilayered media consist of coupled meta-atoms with radiant and subradiant hybridized plasmonic modes interacting through the structural asymmetry. A perturbative model incorporating hybridization and mode coupling is introduced to explain the ob...
متن کاملUltrafast Room-Temperature Single Photon Emission from Quantum Dots Coupled to Plasmonic Nanocavities.
Efficient and bright single photon sources at room temperature are critical components for quantum information systems such as quantum key distribution, quantum state teleportation, and quantum computation. However, the intrinsic radiative lifetime of quantum emitters is typically ∼10 ns, which severely limits the maximum single photon emission rate and thus entanglement rates. Here, we demonst...
